Supporting A Safe House Means Supporting Your Youth individuals, and Community
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of youth and our local community. From providing professional development services, food, mental and behavioral health needs, and upcoming sheltering efforts to those in need, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those around us. By supporting A Safe House, you are supporting your youth, individuals, and community by helping to build a brighter future for all.
Today it the day! A Safe House has launched our Professional Development Training Program. We are excited to have our first cohort of youth! We have partnered with a charter school district in Marion County to help college preparatory students prepare to succeed in their future career choice. The program is 11 sessions that will cover over 6 months with a private graduation ceremony to congratulate the youth for participating, staying focused, and getting the training done. The youth are expected to engage and learn what it takes to be a successful steward within their community, career navigation, and by addressing any mental health challenges that may be preventing the youth from living a healthy lifestyle overall. Stay tuned for our first cohort project with the students to help them learn about marketing!
